St. Barbara's Day Mass for mine workers and their families
Due to the country's epidemic situation resulting from the threat of Covid-19 virus infection, this year's St. Barbara's Day celebrations of the State Mining Authority were limited only to a mass for the intention of mining supervisory employees and their families. The service took place on 25 November at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Katowice.

On Thursday, 18 November, the awards ceremony of the Chief Labour Inspector took place at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. On behalf of the Marshal of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, the event was attended by Deputy Marshal Małgorzata Gosiewska. The ceremony was hosted by Katarzyna Łażewska-Hrycko, Chief Labour Inspector. This year's special award was presented, among others, to Piotr Wojtacha, Vice-President of the State Mining Authority.
Continued cooperation between the State Mining Authority and the Technical Supervision Authority
On Monday, 15 November, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the State Mining Authority between the President of the State Mining Authority, Adam Mirek, and the Vice-President of the State Mining Authority, Piotr Wojtacha, and the President of the Office of Technical Inspection (UDT), Andrzej Ziółkowski, as well as the Director of the Field Division of the UDT in Katowice - Marek Ćmiel.

The President of the State Mining Authority has sent a letter to the invited guests in connection with the upcoming miners' supervisory authorities' St. Barbara's Day celebrations on 25 November - at a difficult time of pandemic threat in the country.
Continued work restrictions at the State Mining Authority
As the Council of Ministers has determined that the Republic of Poland is the area in which the epidemic caused by infections with SARS-CoV-2 is occurring, the President of the State Mining Authority is thereby introducing continued work restrictions at the State Mining Authority.
New statute of the State Mining Authority
The Regulation of the Minister of State Assets on the award of statute to the State Mining Authority was published in the Official Journal of the Minister of State Assets of 14 July 2021. This Regulation enters into force on 29 July 2021.
99th anniversary of the Polish mining supervision
The State Mining Authority will turn 99 this year, on 24 June. It was established in 1922 and this year is considered to be the beginning of modern mining supervision in Poland.
