Commissions for Investigation of Accidents

Commissions for investigation are appointed by the President of the State Mining Authority after major accidents or occurrences in Polish mining. Their task is to analyse the causes and circumstances of a particular occurrence or accident in a particular mine. The commission completes its work by writing a final report, which includes a detailed description of the occurrence and proposals on how to avoid similar incidents in the future.
