Albanian delegation in SMA

On 19 and 20 May 2009 a five-person delegation from the Department of Mining Safety and Rescue of the Albanian Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy paid a visit to the State Mining Authority.
Following issues were discussed during the two meetings in SMA: the tasks, structure and legal framework of mining supervision authorities’ activity in Poland, SMA’s participation in creation of EU law and harmonization of Polish mining law with EU regulations.
The head of Albanian delegation, Director General Indrit Selba delivered basic information on mining industry in Albania and showed interest in learning from Polish experience in mining supervision.
The guests visited also the SMA’s Archive of Mine Survey and Geological Documentation.
