Chinese delegation visit to the State Mining Authority
3 September 2018On Monday, 3rd September 2018 a meeting with 5 delegates from the National Energy Administration, China Coal Information Institute and China Coal Hong Kong Ltd. took place in the State Mining Authority. The Chinese delegation was headed by Mr Lu Junling – Director General of the Coal Department of the National Energy Administration.
The guests were warmly greeted by the President of the State Mining Authority, Mr Adam Mirek. After the introduction Mr Lu Junling went on to present the potential of the coal industry in his country (annually more than 3 billion tonnes of coal are extracted in China), coal consumption in different branches of the industry, including energy production, as well as plans for the future, with a special consideration regarding care for the environment.
The Vice president of the State Mining Authority, Mr Krzysztof Król, elaborated on the organization and tasks of the Polish mining authorities and the rules governing the supervision of mining plants.
The Director of the State Mining Authority’s Department of Environmental Protection and Deposit Management, Mr Piotr Kujawski, presented the post-mining land reclamation methods and examples of its utilization in Poland.
Furthermore, topics on mining activity management, environmental protection and occupational safety in both countries were also discussed.
Other persons who took part in the meeting were: Mr Liu Tao – Director of the Coal Department of the National Energy Administration, Mr Li Xiang – Principal staff member of the Coal Department of the National Energy Administration, Mr Wang Xiaogang – Vice president of the China Coal Hong Kong Limited and Mr Han Jiaye – Deputy director of the Energy And Safety Division of the China Coal Information Institute. During the meeting the State Mining Authority was also represented by the Director of the Department of Mining, Mr Zbigniew Rawicki, the Director of the Social Communication Office, Mr Stanisław Bartosik and Mr Michał Chmurkowski from the President’s Office.
Both sides declared their volition in terms of further cooperation in regard to exchanging experiences.
