Educational activities for effective improvement of safety and health protection of employees

In terms of preventive measures aimed at reducing the accident rate in the Polish mining industry, improving working conditions and reducing the number of occupational diseases, the State Mining Authority, together with the Social Insurance Institution in Warsaw, organised training workshops in the field of: Educational activities for effective improvement of safety and health protection of employees.

The workshop, which took place on 9 and 10 May 2023 in Zawiercie, were attended by 110 people.

During the two-day workshop, participants discussed, among others, topics related to occupational safety and training, and new solutions aimed at eliminating the human factor in accidents. Solutions leading to changes in employees’ awareness, their attitude towards threats and the risk they take. Participants exchanged their experiences and established cooperation initiatives on various levels, which only confirmed that the workshop was an important event, needed in the mining industry and that its mission should be continued.
