Exchange of experience among the Polish, Czech and Slovak mining supervisory authorities

On 15-16 May 2019, an international conference on occupational health and safety in mining industry was held in Jihlava (Czech Republic). It was attended, in the rank of presidents and vice-presidents, by representatives of the Polish, Czech and Slovak mining supervisory authorities. During the conference several speeches and presentations were given; their main message was to promote the safe work principles in Polish, Czech and Slovak mining companies. Presentation on the accident rate and preventive actions in the Polish mining industry were presented by the President of the State Mining Authority and the Vice-President of the State Mining Authority.

The conference also raised the issue of the tragic accident that occurred on 20 December 2018 in the mine in Stonava. The principles of supervision of underground tourist routes in the Czech Republic were also discussed.
