Final conference of the cross-border MineLife Project "A Life with Mining"
28 October 2019On 25 October 2019, a final conference of the cross-border MineLife project "A Life with Mining" was held at the Lagow Palace near Zgorzelec, which brought together Polish and Saxon institutions working for and on behalf of the mining industry. It was attended by approximately 70 people.
The MineLife project was implemented jointly by the Saxon Mining Office, Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodship and the State Mining Authority in Katowice together with the District Mining Office in Wroclaw. The implementation of the project, co-financed by the European Union, enabled the exchange of information on the structure and organisation of administrative bodies, their competencies and procedures, as well as provided an insight into the technologies and techniques used in opencast and underground mining in border areas.
The event was attended by persons and institutions involved in mining and geological activities, representatives of local and industry administration, representatives of scientific and research communities as well as mining, processing and tourist enterprises related to mining.
The MineLife Project is co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the INTERREG Poland - Saxony Cooperation Programme 2014-2020.
