Georgius Agricola Medal to President of SMA

On 13^th December 2007 President of the State Mining Authority Piotr Buchwald paid a visit to the Czech Mining Authority at the invitation of President Roman Makarius. On the occasion of this visit Mr Buchwald was honoured by the Georgius Agricola Medal – the highest mining award in the Czech Republic. The award was also given to Alfred Maier from the Austrian Ministry of Econony and Labour. The Polish ambassador in Prague Mr Jan Pastwa participated in the ceremony. The award was given to Mr Buchwald in recognition of his contribution to the development of cooperation between Czech and Polish mining authorities.
