Meeting of the EU ATEX AdCo Group chaired by a SMA’s representative

On 5-6 November 2024, the 38th meeting of ATEX AdCo - the European working group for administrative cooperation in the area of Directive 2014/34/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 February 2014 on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres - was held in Brussels.

Roman Sąsiadek - the chairman of the ATEX AdCo group and deputy director of the Department of Energy, Mechanics and Basic Infrastructure of the State Mining Authority - chaired the meeting. One of the topics discussed at the meeting was market surveillance for products used in the Polish mining industry. Another important issue was the producer's and user's responsibility for using spare parts.
