Meetings with business representatives and training centres

On April 10 and 11, meetings with representatives of businesses and training centres took place at the District Mining Office in Katowice to discuss changes in regulations concerning the training of personnel participating in mining operations.

The meetings were conducted in connection with implementation of the objective included in the working plan of the District Mining Office in Katowice for 2024, concerning the promotion of a culture of safety and raising the level of education in occupational health and safety.

The following issues were discussed during the session:

• changes to the Geological and Mining Law regarding the training of personnel responsible for the operations of mining facilities,
• requirements for businesses and training centres conducting training of personnel responsible for mining operations,
• a list of positions for which specialized course programs are subject to approval by decision of the competent mining supervisory authority.
