Polish-Czech meeting on the mining disaster in Stonava

On 27 December 2018, at the invitation of President of the Czech Mining Authority Martin Štemberka, a working meeting  of representatives of the Polish and Czech mining supervisory authorities was held at the District Mining Office in Ostrava. It concerned the participation of the Polish side in the investigation of the circumstances and causes of the mining disaster caused by the methane explosion  in the ČSM Stonava coal mine, where 13 miners died on 20 December 2018. During the meeting, the rules for mutual cooperation in the framework of investigation of the causes and circumstances of the mining disaster in Stonava were established.
