Treaty between Republic of Poland and Czech Republic on carrying out geological works in the common border area

On 19 August 2008, in Prague, SMA’s President Piotr Buchwald took part in the ceremony of signing the Treaty between Republic of Poland and Czech Republic on carrying out geological works in the common border area. The Treaty was signed by Polish Undersecretary of State, Chief National Geologist Henryk Jacek Jezierski and Czech Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Tomáš Hüner.

The Treaty states among others the framework rules of cooperation of mining supervision authorities in the scope of supervision and control of mining works as well as matters concerning accidents and rescue actions.

Detailed regulations on above mentioned cooperation will be issued by Presidents of Polish and Czech Mining Authorities.
