Workshop on safety of work at height in mining

On 7 November 2024, a rescue workshop was held for the 5th time at the Central Mine Rescue Station S.A. in Bytom under the slogan ‘Safety of work at height in mining plants’.

The workshop is a cyclical event for demonstrating skills, discussing, and exchanging good practice in the field of accident prevention.

A highlight of the workshop was a demonstration of working-at-height rescue techniques by specialists from the Central Mine Rescue Station S.A.

The President of the State Mining Authority and the Chief Labour Inspector assumed honorary patronage of the event.

The President of the SMA exercises statutory supervision and control over mine rescue units. There are currently three mine rescue units operating in the Polish mining industry: Central Mine Rescue Station in Bytom, the Mine - Smelter Rescue Unit of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A in Sobin and ORLEN S.A. - Mine Rescue Station in Kraków.
