Pursuant to the regulation of the Minister of State Assets of 1 March 2022 on the determination of names, registered offices and effective areas of district mining offices and the liquidation of the District Mining Office in Gliwice, the District Mining Office in Gliwice was closed as of 5 June 2022.

Due to the country's epidemic situation resulting from the threat of Covid-19 virus infection, this year's St. Barbara's Day celebrations of the State Mining Authority were limited only to a mass for the intention of mining supervisory employees and their families. The service took place on 25 November at the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Katowice.

On Thursday, 18 November, the awards ceremony of the Chief Labour Inspector took place at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. On behalf of the Marshal of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, the event was attended by Deputy Marshal Małgorzata Gosiewska. The ceremony was hosted by Katarzyna Łażewska-Hrycko, Chief Labour Inspector. This year's special award was presented, among others, to Piotr Wojtacha, Vice-President of the State Mining Authority.
